Bloomsburg Women's Basketball Falls to Millersville

MILLERSVILLE--The Bloomsburg University women's basketball lost to Millersville University on Thursday night by a score of 72-50.

Bloomsburg fell behind by an 8-0 score in the opening four minutes of action, but rallied to cut the deficit to 14-9 on a couple of free throws from Kelly Joyce (Ashland/Cardinal Brennan) with 9:25 to play in the half.

However, that would be the Huskies final points of the half as the Marauders would outscore Bloomsburg 19-0 the rest of the way.

In the second half, the Huskies outscored Millersville 41-39, but could get no closer than 22 points on two occasions.

Brea Lewis (Philadelphia/Frankford) finished with 12 points for Bloomsburg, while Lauren Healy (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts) and Lara Giselle (Toronto, Canada) each added eight points.

Bloomsburg, 7-16, 2-6 in the PSAC East, plays at Kutztown on Saturday at 1 p.m.
